הקיץ חם, השמש קופחת ולמרות שבדרך כלל כובעים אינם חלק מהבחירות האופנתיות שלי, כובע הקש הזה עשה לי חשק. למה? כובע. טוב גם בגלל הפשטות שלו והקרע הקטן הזה שיש לו מקדימה.

The summer is hot, the sun is shining and even though usually hats are not part of my fashionable choices, this time it felt right. I think it's mainly because of the little tatter in the front as well as its simplicity.

Grow your own jewelry

אמנם זהב לא גדל על עצים אבל מספר מעצבים חשבו לאחרונה על דרכים אחרות לגדל תכשיטים, אולי בעקבות המיתון ואולי זה חלק מהטרנד האקולוגי. בכל אופן זה מעלה חיוך, וכפי שכבר כתבתי בעבר, ז'אנר "מעלי החיוך" חביב עלי ביותר.

Perhaps due to the economical chrisis, or mabey as part of the ecological trend, several designers thought recently about other materials for jewelry. Well it made me smile, and as I wrote in the past, any design that makes me smile is worth sharing.

Zippers and buttons

כפתורים מייצגים בעיניי סוג של עדינות. באופן מיידי הם מתקשרים לי עם חולצות עדינות יותר, מחוייטות יותר ורציניות יותר. רוכסנים לעומת זאת נתפסים בעיני כמשהו יותר קשוח ומחוספס אשר נותן גימור יומיומי יותר לבגד. כמובן שאין חוקים באופנה, על כן לעתים קרובות מתהפכות היוצרות ורוכסים ועדינות הולכים יד ביד באותה החולצה או כפתורים מחוספסים תופסים מקום של כבוד בג'קט.

I think buttons represent a sort of softness. They Immediately remind me gentle blouses and other tailored items. On the other hand zippers are more rough thus give the clothes an everyday finish. Of course there are no rules in fashion and often it's just the other way around.

Shoes that made me smile

ברגע שראיתי את הנעליים האלה התפשט חיוך רחב על פניי. אמנם אין ברצוני לרכוש אותם (וגם לו היה לי הרצון - אין לי היכולת) אך עם זאת הן מקסימות בעיניי. פריטי לבוש משעשעים זוכים אצלי באופן מיידי לנקודות על אף שבלבושי אינני מרבה לשלב פריטים עם קריצה מהסוג הזה. כמו תמיד ריי קוואוקובו מקום דה גרסון מצליחה להפתיע.

At the moment I saw this pair of shoes a wide smile spread on my face. I don't want to purchase them (and even if I did want I don't have the ability) but yet I think they have a great charm. For me, funny fashion items always get extra credits even though in my outfits I scarcely combine them. As always, Rei Kawakubo from Comme Des Garcons is innovative and surprising.

Impressions of a stylist assistant #2

התמונות הנוכחיות הן מהפקה שצולמה לפני כשבועיים עבור רייטינג ובה שימשתי כאסיסטנטית של הסטייליסטית. הצילומים התקיימו בסוויטה המפוארת של מלון דן (במילה אחת- וואו!) וארכו מספר שעות. שתי השחקניות, אסי לוי ונלי תגר, צולמו לשער לכבוד עליית הסדרה "שירות חדרים" בה הן משחקות חדרניות.

These pictures are from a production that took place two weeks ago for Rating magazine, I was the stylist assistant. The shots took place in the Dan hotel suite and took a few hours. The two actresses were posing for the cover in order to promote their new series called Room Service in which they play chambermaids.

לשלמות בהחלט יש מחיר. המחיר של הנעליים המדהימות האלה מבית היוצר של כריסטיאן לובושין (לא בטוחה איך לאיית את זה בעברית, אבל שיהיה) עולות 1295 $, שזה בשקלים, ע"פ השער הנוכחי, בערך 5077 ש"ח.... אני חוסכת.

Perfection definitely has it's price. this amazing pair by Christian Louboutin costs 1295 $... I'm saving.

Longing for scarves

עשיתי את האיור הזה היום ובניתוח פרוידיאני זריז, נראה לי שהוא מצביע על געגועי המודחקים לצעיפים. אני אמנם מתעטפת לפעמים במטפחת קלילה אבל עמוק בפנים מתגעגעת לצעיף אמיתי ומסיבי, כזה שעוטף כמחצית מפלג הגוף העליון ומחמם את הצוואר ואת הלב. נמאס לי מהקיץ.

I made this sketch today and I think it means something about my surpassed longing for scarves. I do go sometimes with a light scarf around me but deep inside I am longing for a real big massive scarf, one that wraps half of the upper body and warms the neck and the heart. I've had enough of this summer.
