איפה הייתי ומה עשיתי - חלק א
כבר זמן רב שלא עדכנתי את הבלוג. הסמסטר הזה שהיה קשה ומהנה במיוחד גזל ממני כל דקה פנויה מחיי ומעבר לכך. הימים והלילות הרבים בהם בילינו יחד הפכו את מכונת התפירה לידידתי הקרובה ביותר - לעתים צחקנו יחד, לעתים בכינו, לפעמים גם רבנו וכמובן שתמיד השלמנו בסוף.
שני קורסים גדולים הדירו שינה מעיני - סמינר מחקר תקופתי וקורס בגדי גברים.
קורס בגדי הגברים היה בסימן תכנית הטלוויזיה של הBBC "טופ אוף דה פופס", תכנית שבועית אשר שודרה מאז שנות השישים ועד לפני שנים אחדות. בתכנית הופיעו המוסיקאים המובילים במצעד של אותו שבוע וכמו כן שודרו קליפים על פי מצעד הלהיטים השבועי.
כל אחד מאיתנו התבקש לבחור מוסיקאי או להקה ובצירוף עם נושא נוסף לבנות לוח השראה. אני בחרתי בגרייס ג'ונס, דמות מרתקת אשר הופעתה הדרמטית והמחושבת בתכנית סיקרנה אותי. צירפתי לכך את חיל האויר מתוך מחשבה על הדמיון החזותי בין הנושאים - גיאומטריה מדוייקת, חדות וקווים נקיים ומנגד הבדל מהותי בין השניים: גרייס ג'ונס - האינדיבידואליזם בהתגלמותו מול חיל האוויר - מעוז הקונפורמיזם.
