Impressions of a stylist assistant

I loaded some pictures from my first production as a stylist assistant. Although the shots were more than a month ago and even though my part was very small, I decided it's exiting enough to write a post about it. it was a Production for "At" magazine and the idea was prom night, something very sweet and fun. The day before the shooting I went with the lovely stylist to pick up the clothes and the accessories and even though my job was mostly to carry the stuff, it was really fun and exiting. The strategy was to take as much clothes as possible and not to use all of them rather than not to have enough. At the evening we met the model (who happens to be a friend of the stylist) and did some try-ons in order to decide what she would wear in every shot. The shots were the day after and took place in an high school. They lasted many hours and Although it was a very difficult and fatigue day, this was an amazing experience. Enjoy the outcome, click to enlarge.

Under the sun

Today we did a day trip in the north of Israel along with my family and my boyfriend's mom who came from Argentina to a visit in Israel. (My boyfriend, Daniel, is originally from Argentina and his family still lives there). I took many pictures of the beautiful view and although I tried to avoid the sun , for Argentinians strong sun is definitely an attraction. I'm all burned now. As you can see also the Sunflowers stoop their heads and tried to reduce the exposure to the sun, but without success.

Snakes and flowers (and some lettuce too)

this look is inspired by fields of lettuce. While I'm thinking about snakes and flowers, danger and beauty I called my friend Nina and asked her to be my model, she agreed right away (thanks Nina). Together we made a short trip to the field, looking for the smell of flowers, avoiding the smell of snakes (do snakes smell?) and having fun with my camera...

Looking for the future

The future is exiting. Everything is so unpredictable and things just happen the way they happen.... I made this illustrations while thinking about the future. My future and others around me. Later I found this pair of shoes by Giuseppe Zanotti, which I think reflects perfectly the unpredictable manner of life and fashion.

Wearing the newspaper

Sometimes the news are so bad that it's better to wear the newspaper than read it...

My new orange bag

Last week I got this amazing orange bag from my boyfriend's mom, she has a really good taste. The day after we went to a dance performance with my family and his parents and this is what I wore.

It's all about the size

Metal or plastic, fabric or precious stone. It doesn't meter, it's all about the size. My favorite necklace is defiantly the Lisa walker one, though I'm not sure how big it is...
What's yours?

Azumi and David
(that a pouch as well... how cool is that?)

This is not a fashion post

I can't get out of my head the great song from the soundtrack of Waltz with Bashir- "This in not a love song" (If you didn't see it, highly recommended). So yeah, this is not a fashion post.

This week was a very strange one, regarding both to my personal life and to my blog. I won't get into the details of all the things that happened, I'll just share one episode.
Last week I sent an email to Susie Bubble, whose blog I read almost on a daily basis. I sent her an illustration of herself wearing one of her outfits and I wrote her about my fondness toward her blog but didn't get any reply. Well, I know that sometimes emails get lost in the way (do they?), I know sometimes emails find their way accidentally to the spam box and I know sometimes people are just too busy to reply...
I can't deny the fact that it bothers me. I think that when you read someones blog, after a while you start to get the feeling that you know him or her a bit. Somehow I have the feeling that Susie that I know, would have replied (even if she didn't like the illustration), But maybe I'm wrong and knowing someone via a blog is simply a too romantic idea... On the other hand, again, maybe the email did got stuck in the way, I guess I'll never know...
So this is not a love song but I'll keep on reading Susie's blog anyway.

Off the lines

This amazing necklace was mas made by the great Lisa Walker. I believe she is one of the best jewelery designers and I'll definitely dedicate her one of the next posts...

My Vintage earrings

I really like to wear big earrings, especially vintage ones. Sometimes I wear only one earring, that's usually happen when it's a very big earring or when I loose one...
Here are my favorite vintage earrings of the moment:

This pair is from 1983 (it's written behind), I bought it in a great vintage store that I really like.

That one was my mom, there is only one because the other one broke...

This is a pair I bought on Etsy from a great seller called Vintagefabulous

This pair used to be my mom's. I usually wear only one of them, because it seems to me that they are a bit too big and shiny.

Fresh orange/Hot carrot

Orange is one of my favorite colors right now. I think it fits exactly to the hot weather and adds something fresh and vivid to the burdensome summer atmosphere. Three weeks ago I received the package I ordered from transdesign.com (I LOVE to buy things on the internet, yes, even nail polish). I ordered several colors of nail polish and some other nail products. Since I tried the Essie nail polish "Mini shorts" (picture below) I don't want any other color on my nails (I'm sorry if I sound like a commercial...).

So I gathered some orange cravings... I think that if I had the opportunity to chose one of them it would be the Bottega Veneta clutch. what would be your choice?

sandals- Bottega Veneta , headband- Forever 21, necklace- Peep Toe, ballerina shoes- mytheresa.com, handbag- Halston, ring- Blu Bijoux, clutch- Bottega Veneta
